Rally in Support of the Palestine Statehood Bid
Time and Place: Thursday 15 September 2011 at the Texas State Capitol | 5-8pm.
Thursday, September 15th (The International Day of Democracy and five days prior to the Palestinian bid for UN membership) we will take to the streets and demand that the United States government support true democracy in all of the Middle East, not just the places that are near and dear to special interest groups. For more than 60 years, the UN has approved numerous resolutions promising Palestinians basic human rights, none of which have been implemented. On September 15, lets stand in solidarity and demand Palestine’s right to self-determination. These rallies are happening throughout the nation in hundreds of cities. Austin is consistently ranked amongst the most active cities in the nation, after all the word ‘grassroots’ gained meaning in this city so be sure to come out and REPRESENT!!!! Facebook Event Page
